Dr Penelope Reiss is one of Perth’s leading violin teachers, offering violin lessons from her music studio in Bayswater, Perth WA. She is an Accredited Teaching member of the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association.
Penelope completed her secondary education as a music student at Perth Modern School, followed by a Degree in Music at the West Australian Conservatorium of Music (now WAAPA), an Honours Degree in Music Performance at Charles Darwin University, and a PhD in Music History.
Orchestral appointments include violinist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and the prestigious position of Concert Master of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra. She is currently a member of the West Australian String Quartet and is an AMEB examiner.
Dr Penelope Reiss has held teaching appointments at Perth College and Wesley College, and is currently a classroom music educator at one of Perth’s leading music schools.
