Nicola Ashcroft is a qualified and experienced piano and theory of music teacher, offering piano lessons from her private music studio Piano Sound in the Perth suburb of Queens Park in Western Australia. Nicola is an Accredited Teaching member of the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association.

Nicola graduated from the WA Conservatorium of Music (WAAPA) with a Diploma of Music Teaching and Associate in Pianoforte, having studied with the late Pauline Belviso. In 1984 she was awarded the David O’Neil prize from performance, and in 1987 the WA Music Teachers Association Award for Teaching.

Nicola Ashcroft has taught piano at Methodist Ladies College, Penrhos College (for 11 years), and St Munchins Primary School. Student have been prepared for AMEB exams, Eisteddfods, school concerts, and the Catholic Performing Arts Festival.

Recent studies have seen her complete a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in School Based Education Support. Nicola currently supports students with Autism at Cloverdale Education Support Centre, while also maintaining a home teaching business, Piano Sound.

Online studies with the esteemed pedagogue Irina Gorin has inspired Nicola to teach with “Tales of a Musical Journey“, offering a holistic approach for beginners.

All students, beginners to advanced, are encouraged to develop performance skills and maintain a high standard of technical and musical commitment.
