Joanna Sullivan is a qualified and experienced flute teacher, offering flute lessons from her studio in Doubleview, Perth WA. She is an Accredited Teaching member of the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association.
Joanna is a flute performance graduate of the Victorian College of Arts. She also has a Master of Music Education from the University of Queensland and has taught flute at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and many prestigious private schools in Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Joanna has always performed, both as a soloist and as a member of many different ensembles, as she believes her performance skills informs her teaching ability.
Joanna Sullivan teaches students of all ages and standards. She loves teaching beginners as much as she does advanced students.
Joanna has written her own beginner program that allows students to progress at their own speed. She has used it teaching the grade 5 instrumental program with great success and enjoyment.
Joanna has had innumerable students pass their A.M.E.B AMusA and LMusA diplomas, some with distinction. She has also had many students progress into tertiary music programs studying flute, some now in orchestras around the world.
